O R A N G E S H I R T D A Y
On September 30th, we will observe Orange Shirt Day, a significant occasion to acknowledge the historical injustices suffered by Residential School students and reaffirm our collective commitment to the fundamental principle that every child matters. This year, we are proud to continue our tradition of hosting a fundraiser in support of Orange Shirt Day for the benefit of the Woodland Cultural Center.
In 2021, through the generosity of our community, we contributed over $12,000 to this cause, and in 2022, we continued our support by donating over $9,000.
We are thrilled to announce that, once again, we will be contributing 100% of the proceeds from our sales to the Woodland Cultural Center. Yes, you read that correctly, a full 100%.
I extend my sincere gratitude to my employer, Liberty Utilities, for covering the costs of all raw materials required for crafting the shirts, and to our dedicated Total Rewards team for volunteering their time and expertise to create the unique tie-dye designs.
This year, I am delighted to share that I have collaborated with two Indigenous Liberty employees who has played an instrumental role in creating the artwork featured on this year's print.
