Wearing an Orange Shirt on September 30th is meant to recognize the harm done to Residential School students, and show a commitment to the principle that every child matters.
We are pleased to announced the fundraiser we are holding for the month of September with @Woodlandculturalcentre in support of Save The Evidence Campaign.
As you know, I decided to remove the orange T-shirts from my website earlier this year.
I believe that anyone that would like to buy Orange T-shirts should buy from an Indigenous charity or organization.
I met with the Save The Evidence Team to voice my opinion and decided to do a fundraiser for them along with donating all my blank orange T-shirts.
You see, they are struggling to fulfill their orders as “blank orange T-shirts” are hard to find.
Therefore, I decided to sell orange tie dyed T-shirts to help combat the lack of stock of plain blank orange T-shirts.
50% of the proceeds will be donated to STE (Save The Evidence). The remaining 50% will cover the cost of tshirt, dye and ink.
All orders for individual schools most be submitted by Friday September 17.
All other orders must be submitted by Sunday September 19.
We are looking forward for your support.
